About Bridge Housing

Bridge Housing is a Housing Charity and Approved Housing Body established from extensive experience in the social housing and community sectors. Over the years, we witnessed firsthand how gaps in resident services too often resulted in unsuccessful tenancies, where residents struggled to maintain their home, felt isolated without adequate support, or ultimately experienced tenancy breakdown

Our background in both housing and community services revealed a group of people who, while not meeting the criteria for Housing First, nonetheless would benefit greatly from guidance, encouragement, and practical support to maintain their homes and build stable, independent lives.

We were proud to achieve charitable status in July 2024 (Ref: 20206706) and Approved Housing Body status in July 2025 (Ref: AHB-03336). These milestones reflect our commitment to delivering high-quality housing and tenancy sustainment services, and to realising our mission: to bridge the gap between adversity and stability by combining secure housing with social supports in health and wellbeing, education, and employment opportunities.

Over the next two years, we aim to deliver 100 sustainable tenancies, with a focus on inclusive, person-centred housing solutions tailored to diverse needs.

Our work is underpinned by a strong financial plan, sound governance, and a commitment to transparency and accountability. We prioritise community engagement and a holistic approach to service delivery, ensuring residents have the resources they need to create a home and achieve lasting independence.
